ENTERPRISE LOCAL 2007

In late 2006, agreement was reached that a THREE YEAR PROGRAMME to be part funded by Advantage West Midlands through the Rural Regeneration Zone would be delivered by Shropshire's economic regeneration company - Shropshire Enterprise Partnership.  The scheme was known as ENTERPRISE LOCAL because of its key focus on local wins for local businesses.  The basis of that initial funding agreement is outlined here:

THE AIMS

To help develop and grow the prolific HOME-BASED ENTERPRISE market in rural areas, increasing economic and environmental prosperity.

The Enterprise LOCAL project began in Shropshire during 2007 and has now expanded to a landmark development within the World Heritage Site in Irtonbridge

Plans are in hand for further expansions during 2009.

Delivering a package of business services, an innovative concept for collective marketing and a brand new venue where the region's home-based entrepreneurs can gather.




ENTERPRISE HQ

The profusion of home-based businesses in the 21st century has formed an industry where the creation of products and services has moved away from factory-based and mass production. And while products and services created by home-based businesses are often unique and distinctive, entrepreneurs in this sector face numerous disadvantages when trying to compete with much larger corporate empires in attempting to get the attention of today�s busy consumer. ENTERPRISE HQ provides a unique �collective� for these businesses.

The county�s leading newspaper group and economic regeneration company worked with the founding company to launch this innovate scheme, combining the strength of a powerful media group with an award winning, actions-based Partnership.

Shropshire Enterprise Partnership is an award winning private/public partnership and they are the delivery company who will ensure that home enterprise across the county will become more prolific and profitable.

ENTERPRISE HQ will bring the at-home entrepreneur's individual products and services to the attention of the buying audience. This will be the first scheme of its kind in the country and will bring together the thousands of home-based enterprises.

EHQ is a business co-operative that will prove that in numbers there is real strength. By bringing many of these businesses together and promoting en masse, ENTERPRISE HQ will mobilise the power of premier advertising and promotion. The diverse range of high quality goods and services will be advertised, promoted and displayed through equally high quality channels and will help bring more business to the home based enterprises in Shropshire.
