Enterprise Comes Home

Enterprise Comes Home

Home working is at the vanguard of a new business movement as a 21st century commercial hub launches in the Birthplace of Industry.

A revolutionary business headquarters for hundreds of home-based entrepreneurs was launched to a chorus of approval in Telford yesterday.

The Mayor of Telford and Wrekin Councillor Bob Groom, together with Councillor Eric Carter cut the ribbon which marked an historic moment of change as the past three hundred years of enterprise melted away and the spirit of cottage industry rose once more in the industrial heartland of Telford.

Back in style is the home-based enterprise upon which Telford’s forebears built the wealthy foundations of an Industrial Revolution that was to shake the world.

Now, every day in Telford a new home-based enterprise celebrates its appearance onto the local commercial landscape and ENTERPRISE HQ has been designed as a corporate home for all types of mobile business. Here entrepreneurs can find a state of the art home and welcoming links to a buzzing commercial network, newly launched in Coalport.

With superb corporate facilities, the like of which are usually only seen in Business Class Lounges or Directors Institutes, ENTERPRISE HQ is the only venture of its kind in Europe and is surely destined to make an enterprising mark in the wisely selected Birthplace of Industry location.

Thanks to the ongoing vision and the ‘can-do’ culture of Telford & Wrekin Council, Enterprise HQ will help 100 businesses a year to start-up and by Christmas 09 there will be a thousand members benefitting from this unique venue and support system.
